[DDN] Proposal to bring $100 laptop to Solomon Islands

I saw this article in a news feed I get about the
Solomon islands (where I worked for two months last
year) and thought it might be of interest to others
here.  
I certainly agree that Solomon Islands is a perfect
place for such an innovation, provided they can
develop a strong-enough delivery system to children on
900-plus islands scattered across 1,500 km of ocean. 
It's interesting to see how New Zealand is taking a
lead in this initiative.

A local not-for-profit, to be called OLPC Oceania, is
planned but is yet to be formally constituted
