Every time I read something like the above I think of the US$12 
billion A MONTH the USA is spending on an unnecessary and foolish war 
in Iraq -- what could this kind of money do to increase access to 
education, worldwide? what could it do to get broadband connectivity 
at prices the ordinary Trinidad and Tobago computer owner (including 
cyber cafe's) could afford?

Talk about wise investments and foolish ones. Iraq is an example of 
the worst kind of investment. Broadband access and Net Training would 
be the best....and better than $100 laptops, though one could buy a 
LOT of laptops with $12 billion a month.
